  <p>Information: RAVENSWOOD - William H. Darnold, 73, of Ravenswood, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2005, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg.  He was born May 17, 1932, in Cairo WV, son of Gayford Darnold and Faye Alkire Darnold.  He served in the Korean War in the U. S. Army.  He lived in Silverton for 42 years and held the position of assistant fire chief for 35 years with the Silverton Volunteer Fire Department.  He restored a 1942 Ford fire engine.  He retired after 36 years of service at Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corp. as a laborer.  He is survived by his son, Mark William Darnold and wife Lisa of Tualatin, Oregon; brother, Daniel Darnold and wife Linda of Parkersburg; sister, Lois Cunningham and husband Jack of Cairo; four nephews and one niece; and two step-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry.  A service will be held Friday, June 24, 2005, at 1 p.m. at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood.  Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Cairo.  Friends may visit Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, on Thursday, June 23, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.  Friends may also email concolences to the funeral home for the Darnold family at roush1us2000@yahoo.com.</p>
