Information: Services were held for Betsy Curtan of 714 Ashton Lane, Ravenswood, who died at JacksonGeneral Hospital following an extended illness.  She was born in Cleveland, O., the daughter of the late Job and Flora Wheaton Ballis.  Surviving are two sons, sam Curtan Jr. of Cleveland, O., John Curtan of Strongsville, O.; one brother, John Ballis of Cleveland, O.; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.  Services were held at the Lutheran Church in Ravenswood, with the Rev. G.C. Weirick officiating.  Burial was in the Ravenswood Cemetery.
