Information: Devon D. Curry, 80, of Parkersburg, died Jan. 24, 1989, at his home following an extended illness.  He was born in Sandyville, a son of the late Elmer and Emma Hawk Curry.  He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church.  He had formerly owned and operated Curry's Market on Division Street for several years, was a former employee of Mountain State Steel and had farmed in Jackson County for many years.  He was a member of the International Order of Odd Fellows Lodge No. 7, Parkersburg, and was a charter member of the former Big Red Markets.  Surviving:  wife, Alberta M. Elder Curry; one son, Wade Curry of Chicago, Ill.; one daughter, Beverly Jean Crawford of Parkersburg; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one infant daughter and one half sister.  Services were Friday at Kimes Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Michael Lamb officiating.  Burial was in Independence Cemetery, Sandyville.
