Information: Delbert Beymer Currey of Parkersburg, died at the Worthington Manor Convalescent Care Home following an extended illness.  Born in Sandyville, he was the son of the late Kirby and Annie Beymer Currey and had resided in Wood County most of his life.  Currey retired from the Chancellor Hotel after 40 years of service.  Survivors include his widow, Helen Campbell Sams Currey; one son, Morris of Cincinnati, Ohio; four daughters, Mrs. Shirley (Margaret) Anderson, Mrs. Paul (Helen) Shaffer, Mrs. John (Dorothy) Spiker and Mrs. Robert (Patricia) Anderson, all of Parkersburg; three stepsons, Robin Myers of Florida, Jim Sams of California, and John Sams of South Carolina; five step-daughters, Mrs. Daisy Weber of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Millie Beall of Vienna, Mrs. Norma Nedeff, Mrs. Mary James and Mrs. Alice Kerns, all of Parkersbug; one brother, Noell of Steubenville, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Doris Critchfield of Ravenswood and Mrs. Edith Howes of Parkersburg; 23 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 27 step-grandchildren, and 6 step-great-grandchildren.  Funeral services were held at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
