Information: Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Franklin and Son Memorial Chapel for Amos Aaron Currey, 92, of Vienna, who died Saturday afternoon in the Christian Anchorage Nursing Home, Marietta, Ohio, after a brief illness. Evang. Clarence DeLoach, Jr. officiated with burial in Arlington Memorial Gardens. Born in Jackson County, he was a son of the late James Henry and Mary Maddox Currey. He had taught school in Jackson County, but had been associated for several years with Newberry Hardware Store. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include three sons, Laurel K. Currey of Phoenix, Ariz., Calvin H. Currey of Parkersburg and Lyle E. of Vienna; three daughters, Mrs. Russell (Lela) Lockhart, Mrs. Harold (Thelma) Eads and Mrs. Robert (Elizabeth) Goff of Parkersburg; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Elizabeth Somerville Currey, one son, 10 brothers and one sister.
