Information: Memorial services were held Saturday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Charleston, for Lucille Carpenter Armstrong, 74, of Charleston, who died July 18 in Americare of Dunbar after a long illness.  She was the wife of Stuart Armstrong, formerly of Ripley.  She was an American History teacher at Stonewall Jackson High School from the time it opened until she resigned to become county supervisor of social studies.  She was past president of Kanawha County Teachers Association, the West Virginia Classroom Teachers Association and the West Virginia Education Association.  She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Charleston.  In addition to her husband, she also is survived by sisters, Miss Velma Carpenter of Dunbar, Mrs. Lawrence Kelley of Spencer, Mrs. Frank Rogers, of Spencer, Ohio, Mrs. Wilma Jo Smith of South Charleston; brothers, Billy E. Carpenter of Spencer, James R. Carpenter of Seville, Ohio.
