  <p>Information: STROKE IS FATAL TO RIPLEY LADY - Mrs. Lana Cumpston, 78-year-old West Ripley resident, died Monday night at Charleston Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient since she suffered a stroke at her home last Saturday morning.  She died without ever regaining consciousness, members of the family said.  She was the widow of the late John Cumpston and had been a resident of the West Ripley section of the town for many years.  The body is at the Vail funeral home where the service will be held at two o&#39;clock Thursday afternoon and the burial will be in the Oak Hill cemetery.  Mrs. Cumpston is survived by a brother, Mason Morton of Pennsylvania; a sister, Mrs. Emelyn Morton Myers of Charleston and a nephew, William Morton, also of Charleston.</p>
