  <p>Information:   Garland D. Cummings, 55, of Kentuck, Jackson County, died Wednesday following a brief illness.      He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late Leonard and Beulah Casto  Cummings.  He was a retired construction worker, member of Aplin United Methodist Church and 1085 Local Union.      Surviving are his wife; Betty Cummings; three sons, Lanny Cummings of Gay, Danny Cummings of Harmony, W. Va., and Kevin Cummings at home; two daughters, Angela Jones of Aplin Ridge, and Penny Cummings at home; three brothers, Kenna Cummings of South Bend, Ind., Darrell Cummings of Gay and Junior Cummings of Aplin Ridge; five sisters, Marie Isenhart, Lucy Cummings and Ruby Skeens, all of Ripley, Nellie Jones of Sissonville, W.Va. Blanche Ferrell  of Pocatalico; six grandchildren.      Services were Saturday at Aplin U.M. Church with Parsons Funeral Home in charge.  Rev. Orville Walker officiated with burial in Aplin Cemetery.     </p>
