Information:     RAVENSWOOD-- Madalene ""McMaster"" Crum, 85, of Raven­swood, WV, departed this life June 9, 2000, at Jack­son General Hospital, Ripley, follow­ing an extended illness. She was born October 17, 1914, at Ravenswood, WV, a daughter of the late Dr. James A. And Effie (Pringle) McMaster. She was a 1932 graduate of Raven­swood High School, a former clerk for Slaven's Store and Boso and Ritchie Hardware. She was a former book­keeper for Ravenswood Wholesale Grocery. She was a WWII US Army veteran having served in the Women's Army Corp. from 1943-1946. She was a member of the Ables Reyburn Post #118 of the American Legion and was also a member of the post Auxiliary. She was a charter member of the Jack­son County Historical Society and one of the curators for the Washington Lands Museum. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Ravenswood where she served as teacher, treasurer, deaconess and el­der. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Karl Crum and one brother William J. McMaster. Graveside services will be held to­day Wednesday, June 14,2000, at 11 a.m. at Ravenswood Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Morton officiating with a flag presentation by VFW Post #6669, Ravenswood. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, dona­tions are preferred to the First United Presbyterian Church, 601 South Ritchie Avenue, Ravenswood, WV 26164. Arrangements by Casto Fu­neral Home, Ravenswood, WV.
