Information: Annie Sayre Crum, daughter of George W. and Mary Jane Lewis Sayre, was born January 18, 1870. On Christmas Day, 1889, she was married to James O. Crum, son of Martin and Lacy Crum, whose farm joined the Sayre farm. For a time they lived in a log house on the farm of her father but soon established themselves in the home which has long been known as The Crum Home. Into this home were born 13 children, 12 boys and one girl, ten of whom are living today. They are Clyde G. crum, of Huntington; Mrs. Clara Galford, of ?Roanoke, Va.; and Sarl H. Crum,, of Newport News, Va.; Kenneth, Hoyt, Hobart, Henry, Karl, Welch and Belmont, all of this county. Two sons, Clyde and Kenneth served in World War I, and two in World War II Karl and Belmont. Funeral services were conducted at the Antioch United Brethren Church, of which she was a member, by her nephew Rev. Harry F. King, on Wednesday, January 2.
