Information: Edith E. Crank, 92, of Cross Lanes, died Friday, September 12, 2008, at Sunbridge Care & Rehab Putnam. She was a retired school cook at Dunbar High School, member of Community Chapel Church, Cross Lanes, and a member of Dunbar Woman's Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arliss C. Crank. Surviving are son and wife, Richard ""Rick"" and Alzenia Ruth Crank of Cross Lanes; brother, J. T. Koontz of Goldtown; sisters, Lillian Fisher of Pocatalico and Frances Harrison of Jacksonville, N.C.; granddaughter, Myria Von-Linger of Danville, Ky.; grandsons, Paul and wife Kim Qualls of Ashland Ky., Mitchell and wife Beth Qualls of Ashland, Ky.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at Good Shepherd Mortuary, South Charleston, with the Rev. Mayford Witt and Deacon Ruddy Burcham officiating. Burial will be in Emma Chapel Cemetery, Liberty. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Sunbridge of Putnam for the kind and loving care given to Mrs. Crank. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your favorite charity.
