  <p>Information: Russell Cox of Rt. 2, Gay, Jackson County, died in St. Joseph&#39;s Hospital following an extended illness.  Funeral services were held at the Parsons Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. D.C. Guthrie officiating.  Burial was in Parsons Cemetery at Gay.  A son of the late David and Martha Harpold Cox, he was a life-long resident of Jackson County and was a farmer by occupation.  Mr. Cox was a member of the Gay EUB Church.  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mazie Riddle Cox; three sons, Robert E. Cox, Clarksburg, O., William K. Cox, Wellston, O., Charles C. Cox, Parkersburg; two brothers, Rudy Cox, Ripley, Darrell Casto, Fairplain; three sisters, Mrs. Lena Jacobs, Circleville, O., Mrs Delphia Phillips, Clendenin, Mrs. Goldie Carpenter, Charleston and nine grandchildren.</p>
