  <p>Information: Gay Cox of Ravenswood, died after a brief illness.  He was born in Jackson County, son of the late William T. and Ida Cox.  He was a member of the Silverton United Methodist Church, a retired farmer and retired school teacher after 37 years in the school system.  He was a member of Mason-Ashton Lodge No. 12, the Odd Fellows; the Jackson County Historical Society, the Grange and the Jackson County Lee Mays Poetry Society.  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Naomi Digman Cox of Ravenswood; two sons, Marxhall Cox and James Cox of Route 1, Ravenswood; one sister, Mrs. Alma Parry of Largo, Fla., seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Services were at the Silverton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Loris Pullins officiating, and burial in Ravenswood Cemetery.</p>
