Information: GIVEN - Lewis John Counts, 9, of Given, died March 30, 2000, in Memorial Division, CAMC. Counts died after his brother accidentally shot him with a shotgun while the two were hunting, Jackson County authorities said. He was a fourth-grader at Kenna Elementary School and a member of Given Warriors 4-H Club. Surviving: parents, Albert Stanley and Teresa Lynn Carney Counts of Given; brother, Brian Counts, at home; sister, Michele Counts, at home; paternal grandparents, Albert and Melba Counts of Leon; maternal grandmother, Margaret Carney of Given. Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Moss Chapel Church, Kenna, with the Rev. Jerry Bonnett officiating. Burial will be in Family Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the church. Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, is in charge of arrangements.
