Information: A 23 year Kentuck farmer, Harold Counts, was crushed to death and his two companions were slightly injured when their automobile went out of control on US Rt. 21 near the C. V. Chancey home north of Kenna about 11:15 last Saturday night. Counts was the fifth highway fatality for the county this year and the fourth within a two week period. Two companions who were injured were Arrol Cummings, 15, a head injury, and Lloyd Kiser, 20, a knee injury. Both are from Kentuck. Counts was driving the 1940 Model Chevrolet coupe which went out of control and turned over several times. Counts was pinned under the vehicle. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Counts and was a graduate of Ripley High School. The funeral was held from the home of the parents Monday afternoon, with the Rev. Edgar Hutton in charge and the burial was in the family cemetery. Survivors, in addition to the parents, include three sisters, Mrs. Freda Long of Kimbolton, Ohio, Miss Patsy Counts and Miss Urita Counts, and a brother, Gene Counts, all of Kentuck.
