  <p>Information:                  Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Lockhart Methodist Church for James G. CORNS, 72, widely known farmer of the county who died at his home there on Tuesday following a long illness.  the Rev. G. T. CALTRIDER had charge of the service and burial was in the Independence Cemetery at Sandyville. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ruth MILLER CORNS;  six sons, Noel of Princeton, William of Canal Winchester, Ohio, Hugh of Windy, Richard at home, Delbert and Carl, both of Sandyville; four daughters, Mrs. Anna COOPER of Sandyville, Mrs. Ernestine JOHNSON of Sissonville, Mrs. Bessie HIGGINS of Vienna, and Mrs. Murl GRIFFITH of Belpre, Ohio; 29 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  (Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection)     </p>
