  <p>Information: Laura Coon, 56, of Ripley, died Wednesday, March 18, 1987, in Care Inn Nursing Home, Ripley, following a short illness.  She was born in Jackson County, a daughter of the late Roy and Mary Neal Hosey.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Second Baptist Church, Ravenswood.  She is survived by four step-sons, Joe Coon of Massillon, Ohio, Darrell Coon of Sandyville, Carroll Coon of Ripley and Charles Coon of Dunbar; three daughters, Betty Elkins of Evans, Joyce Coon of Ravenswood and Wilma Coon of Statts Mill; four stepdaughters, Mary Nutter of Evans, Irene Cobb and Catherine Coon, both of Ripley and Maxine Bradley of Dunbar; one brother, William Hosey of Illnois; two sisters, Rita Staats of Ravenswood and Gladys Hosey of Liverpool.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Moses Roscoe Coon; one son, Steven Michael Coon; and one brother.  Services were Friday at the Parsons Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. Fred Lowery officiating.  Burial was in Siniaville Cemetery.</p>
