  <p>Information: Wallace E. ""Eddie"" Cook, 72, of Ripley, passed away Tuesday afternoon, September 22, 2014, at Jackson General Hospital following an extended illness.  Eddie was born April 21, 1942 in Kanawha County, son of the late Paul and Mabel Meyers Cook.  He was a lifelong county resident and retired from Jackson General Hospital with 30 years of service in the maintenance and housekeeping department.  Eddie was a Christian and formerly attended the Presbyterian Church.  He is survived by a brother, Arty Cook and his wife Mary of St. Albans, and a sister, Carol Sue Allen of Dunbar, and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by his wife of over 25 years, Geraldine Winifred Cook and a brother-in-law, Fontaine Allen.  A service celebrating the life of Eddie Cook will be 1 pm Friday, September 26, 2014, at Waybright Funeral Home with Pastor Herman Robinson officiating.  Interment will follow the service at the Fairview Cemetery, Given.
