Information: DEATH CLAIMS AGED TEACHER - Funeral services for James W. Archer, 79-year-old citizen of Wilding, were held from the church there Saturday afternoon at two o'clock with a large number of his friends, neighbors and acquaintances present to pay their last tribute of respect.  Mr. Archer was 79 years old.  He was one of the well known citizens of that section of the county and had spent many years of his life as a school teacher and for a number of years conducted a training school for teachers and many of the members of the school teaching profession in this county received a part of their training in his schools.  He died early Thursday morning at his Wilding home after a long illness. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Hester Archer; four sons, Barin Archer of Gallipolis, Ohio, Ray Archer of Parkersburg, Emerson and Clay Archer, both of Wilding; and four daughters, Mrs. Albert Gorrell of Sandyville, Mrs. Roy Zimmerman of Akron, Mrs. Blanche Stanley of Ravenswood, and Miss Bessie Archer, at home.  One brother, John Archer of Windy is among the survivors.
