  <p>Information:                 Funeral services for John Edgar Combs, 78, who died of a stroke in Parkersburg on Monday of last week, were held from the Vail Funeral Home here Thursday afternoon with the Rev. Rex Phillips of Parkersburg in charge and the burial was in the Morgan Cemetery.  Mr. Combs was a son of William and Nancy Roach Combs and was born in Jackson County.  Surviving are the following children:  Floyd of Mineral Wells, John of Ripley, Howard of Parkersburg, Mrs. Beatrice Balser of Basil, Ohio, Mrs. Lee Mason of Massillon, Ohio, Mrs. H. H. Young of Basil, Mrs. Clifton Hewitt of Dalton, Ohio, Mrs. Frank Walters of Ripley and Mrs. Lillie Martin of Newall.  One son, Edgar, is deceased.  (Betty Kessel McIntryre obit collection)</p>
