  <p>Information: James Edgar Combs, 94, of Millwood, died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 1988, in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, following a long illness.  He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late William and Sarah Ann Crawford Combs.  He was a World War I veteran and was a rural mail carrier for 30 years.  He was a member of the Ravenswood VFW Post 6669 and was a farmer.  He is survived by four sons, Thomas Combs of Millwood, James Combs of Ravenswood, John Combs of Cottageville and David Combs of Vienna; four daughters, Karen Combs and Ann Combs, both of Millwood, Norma Wetzel of Florida and Jean Drennen of Ravenswood; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Services were Thursday at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, with the Rev. Raymond Skeen officiating.  Burial was in Otterbein Cemetery.</p>
