Information: Charles Curtis Combs, 78, of Huntington, passed away July 23, 2007, at his residence.  He was born November 23, 1928, in Huntington, a son of the late Charles Crawford and Verda Okla Shinn Combs, formerly of Jackson County, who moved to Huntington in 1920.  He was the office manager for Charlie Bartram's Auto Repair.  He was a US Army veteran, having been stationed in Germany for two years.  Charles was a 1947 graduate of Huntington High School and attended Marshall University.  He was a longtime member of the PBO Elks #313 of Huntington and the American Legion Post #93 of Kenova.  Survivors include his sisters Alberta Hamilton and husband Harry of Laurel, MD; Alice Hickey and husband Richard of Lincoln, NE and Helen Baxter and husband John of Upland, CA and nephews Charles Jones and Philip Jones and wife Christie all of Huntington.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Phyliss Jones and brother-in-law Davis Jones.  Graveside service at Otterbein Cemetery.
