Information:       Friends and co-workers are remembering Melinda (Linda) Lee Moore Collier, as a caring, dedicated woman who loved her family, her profession and Her community.        Mrs. Collier, 54, died Wednesday, December 4, 1996, at Nashville Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness.  She had worked for the City of Hendersonville since 1981 and was lead codes inspector.  She was the wife of Ward 6 Alderman Ralph Collier.  Mrs. Collier held certifications from the state and the Southern Building Codes Congress and was named Outstanding Code Official of the Year in 1994 by the Middle Tennessee Code Officials Association, an organization of which she was president for two years.  She was named Outstanding City Employee in 1993.  Mrs. Collier initially worked for the city as secretary to the Codes and Planning departments and was promoted to building and zoning inspector in 1984.  She became the lead codes inspector in 1993.       A native of Newark,Ohio, Mrs. Collier was the daughter of Virginia and the late Kenneth Moore.  She was born August 18, 1942.  The family moved Ripley, WV, in the late 1950s.  She was a 1960 graduate of Ripley High School.  She attended Marshall University in Huntington, WV, the University of Tennessee at Nashville and Volunteer State Community College.  She was an affiliate real estate broker before going to work for the city.       In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Virginia Moore of Wildwood, Fla.; daughter, Whitney Parsons Rollins of Hendersonville, daughter and son-in-law, Kelly Parsons Hamilton and Berry Hamilton of Hendersonville; stepson, Ralph (Skip) Collier, Jr., of Cordova, Tenn.; stepdaughters, Patricia Collier of Jackson, Tenn. and Kimberly Lancaster of Hoschton, Ga.; sister, Kyle Elias of Nashville, Tenn.; brothers, Terry Moore of Carpenteria, Calif.; and Craig Moore of Ravenswood, WV.; and two grandchildren, Emily Rollins and Lauran Lancaster.  The funeral service is Saturday, Dec. 7 at Hendersonville First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Ripski, the Rev. Ben Alexander and the Rev. Philip Wright officiating.  Honorary pallbearers will be employees of the City of Hendersonville.
