Information: SANDYVILLE - Marjorie Jean Cogar, 74, of Sandyville, passed away unexpectedly on August 13, 2011, at Ravenswood Care Center.  Margaret was born on May 20, 1937 in West, the daughter of Truman Jordan and Margaret Mitchell Jordan.  She graduated from Weston High School in 1955 and married the love of her life, David L. Cogar in 1967; they lived in Ravenswood before moving to Sandyville.  Mrs. Cogar worked in her younger years as a retail clerk for Murphy's in Weston, then was a homemaker for the remainder of her life.  Marjorie attended Independence United Methodist Church for many years.  She would often help deliver fruit baskets and visit nursing home residents with her friends.      Surviving is her only child, Regenia Shaffer of Sandyville; brother, Pete Jordan; two beloved grandchildren, David Bradley Shaffer and Dylan Lee Shaffer of Sandyville; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David; brothers, Walter Jordan, Franklin Jordan, and William Jordan; her aunt and uncle, Madie Bush and Cecil Bush; and family friend, Opal Leachman.  Funeral service is 11 am , Wednesday, August 17 at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood.  Burial will follow in Independence Cemetery, Sandyville.  Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 16, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org)  Condolences may be expressed to the family at roush94@yahoo.com. or on our website at www.joeroushfuneralhome.com.
