Information: Mrs. Carrie Archer, daughter of Thomas and Anna Batten, was born Sept. 15, 1879, and departed this life March 20, 1935, age 55 years, 6 months and 5 days.  She was united in marriage to G. A. Archer on March 20, 1896, and to this union ten children were born.  Two sons, Carl T. and Clarence Ray, preceded her in early childhood.  She is survived by her husband and eight children:  N. G. Archer of Lockbourne, Ohio; K. F. Archer of Pleasantville, Ohio;  Mrs. H. M. Piggott and Mrs. F. D. Thomas of Sandyville; Mrs. C. E. Gandee and Mrs. J. E. Ott of Parkersburg; Mrs. J. V. Naylor of Groveport, Ohio; and Miss Sylvia Archer, at home; one brother, Walter Keister of Parkersburg; 12 grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss.  Carrie's father having been taken from her by death before she was a year old, she (Carrie) made her home with her grandparents, universally known as ""Uncle Sam"" Barrin (?).  Funeral services were conducted at Lockhart church and interment was made in the Ravenswood cemetery.  (from the Betty Kessel McIntyre collection)
