Information: MILLWOOD MAN DIES OF SUICIDE SHOOTING - A Millwood man was found dead Wednesday afternoon in his mobile home of an apparent suicide shooting.  The body of William Warren (Bill) Clovis, 57, was found lying face down in a pool of dried blood in the living room of the trailer.  The body was discovered by a neighbor at 3:20 p.m.  Clovis had last been seen the previous day at about 3:30 p.m.  A 22 caliber pistol was found lying on the floor just a few feet from Clovis' body.  Two slugs of the small caliber gun had been fired and three more snapped on but not discharged (apparently because of the age of the shells).  All of Clovis' cemetery papers and other personal effects, including insurance papers were found laying open on the kitchen table.  Chief deputy Homer Fisher and deputy Pete Baltic investigated the incident.  The were assisted by deputies Len Jones and Jerry Walters.  Acting county coroner Dr. A. H. Morad also came to the scene and pronounced Clovis dead at 4:13 p.m.  A Ravenswood Volunteer Fire Department ambulance then transported the body to the state medical examiner's office.      Clovis was a native of Auburn, Ritchie County, and was a 21 year employee of Kaiser Aluminum.  He was born the son of the late Arthur and Belva Haught.  He was a World War II veteran, a graduate of Pennsboro High School and a Methodist.  He is survived by a brother, Laurel H. of Pennsboro; a sister, Mrs. Pauline Waggoner of Dade City, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a brother and an infant sister.  Services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home in Pennsboro with the Rev. James Mitchem officiating.  Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery.
