Information: The funeral for Roy Ankrum, 90, of Evans, who was found dead near Turkey Run Lake in Ravenswood, Monday, was held at 11 a.m. Friday at Casto Funeral Home in Evans.  The Rev. Melvin Conley and the Rev. Gerald Sayre officiated.  Burial was in Jackson County Memory Gardens at Cottageville.  Ankrum, who had been missing from the Ravenswood Care Center since around noon Monday, was found around 2 p.m. Tuesday lying face down in a small stream near the lake.  An autopsy in Charleston determined he had died by drowning.  He was born in Cottageville, a son of the late Matthew and Adelphia Lloyd Ankrum.  He was a retired farmer, a former attendant at the Casto Funeral Home in Evans and had also been employed by Hutchinson Sanitary Supply in Ripley. He attended the Evans United Methodist Church and was a veteran of World War II.  He is survived by two sisters, Hallie Shinn of Mount Alto and Edna Sayre of Cottageville.
