Information: March 8th-Benjamin Clendenen, who had been ill of consumption for two or three years, died at his home at Fair Plain, Sunday night. He was buried Tuesday in the Abram Casto graveyard. March 15th-Benjamin F. Clendenen was born August 8, 1975, near Goldtown, Jackson County, West Virginia. As a youth he was a kind, obedient and dutiful son, delighting to win the approbation and smiles of father and mother, with whom he continued to reside until he arrived at manhood's years. As a brother he was kind and affectionate, as a friend he was true and loyal, as an associate kind and considerate. Having met Miss Nellie Childs an attachment was formed which ripened into true love and they were happily married in October 1898. In the winter after his marriage he was attacked with hemorhage of the lungs from which he never recovered. He removed to Fair Plain in the summer of 1900, but the dread monster had fastened his deadly fangs closely about him and all that could be done by loving hands and the skill of the physician was unavailing. He was happily converted to the Christian religion and was resigned to his fate and bore his sufferings uncomplainingly--had a kind word and smile for all. Before crossing to that great beyond he called his friends and relatives about him, requested them to meet him in heaven, saying, ""I'm so happy, I'm so happy."" On Sunday night March 3d, 1901, at 10 o'clock his spirit took its flight, returned to its maker, and on Tuesday at 1 p.m. all that was mortal of Benjamin F. Clendenen was laid to rest in the Casto cemetery to await the resurrection morning. In that great day may there be a happy reunion of wife and husband, father, mother, brothers and sisters where farewells and tears are unknown--FRIEND
