Information: Melvin Stattis (John) Cleek, 74, of Portland, Ohio, died Tuesday, May 30, 1989 at home after a long illness.  He was a farmer and a Protestant.  He was born at Kenna, W. Va.  Surviving:  wife, Macie; son, Earl of Duncan Falls, Ohio; brothers, Corbet of Racine, Carroll of Columbus; sisters, Belle Raines and Gracie Williams, both of Kenna, Edith Parsons of Charleston, Juanita Harris of Portland; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.  Service was held Friday at Parsons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Steve Raines officiating.  Burial was in Stone Lick Cemetery, Kenna.
