Information: Funeral services for James Madison Claypool, 87, of Sand Fork, who died last Wednesday at his home after a brief illness, were held Saturday at the Spurgeon Mortuary. The Rev. Michael Halley officiated and burial was in Singleton Cemetery at Napier. He was born in Braxton County, son of the late William and Ruhamie Conrad Claypool and was a retired B & O conductor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Mary Wiblin Claypool. Survivors include one son, James C. of Ravenswood; five daughters, Mrs. Doris Straight of Fairmont, Virginia Claypool of Sand Fork, Mrs. Mildred Braden of Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. Susan Aldridge of Florida and Mrs. Mary Jo Chamberlain of Charleston; one brother, Russell of Weston; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
