Information: Charles Lewis Clay, 52, of Ripley, died Sunday at home after a short illness.  He was a laborer for Stave Mill Co. in Ripley.  Mr. Clay was a World War II veteran.  Surviving:  sons, Charles Ellis Clay, William Ernest Clay, John H. Clay, Darryll D. Clay, all of Ripley; daughter, Miss Diana I. Clay of Ripley; sister, Mrs. Anna Marie Ward of Pomeroy, Ohio; stepmother, Mrs. Edna Clay of Charleston; five grandchildren.  Services were Tuesday in Parsons Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. D. C. Guthrie officiating.  Burial was in Crane Cemetery, Ripley.
