Information: J. Donald Clarkson, 68, of Looneyville, died at his home Wednesday morning after a brief illness. He was born in Looneyville, a son of the late Darrell and Loys Looney Clarkson. He was a self-employed carpenter and electrician. He was a Baptist. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Webb Clarkson; his stepmother, Rosa Clarkson of Clover; two stepsisters, Reva Rhodes of Melbourne, Fla., and Virginia Fisher of Spencer; two half brothers, Ronald Clarkson and Rockford Clarkson, both of Clover, one uncle, Carl Looney of Ripley. Services were Friday at Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Delmar Simmons and the Rev. Herbert Smith officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery on Canoe Road, near Looneyville.
