  <p>Information: Mary E. (Mundy) Christie, 86, formerly of Leon WV, passed away November 21, 2011 in the Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Point Pleasant WV.  She was born June 5, 1925 in Charleston WV, a daughter of the late Gobel and Capitola (Slater) Mundy.  Her husband, Mitchell Christie, and two grandchildren, also preceded her in death.  She was a homemaker, an active member of the Winnetka Women&#39;s Club in IL, and a former secretary for Westinghouse in Cincinnati OH.  She enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, skiing and sailing.  She was a Protestant by faith.  Survivors include her son, James Thompson of Red House WV; brothers, Hansel Mundy of Alexandria VA and Gobel Munday, Jr. of Gross Lanes WV; sister, Jacqueline Mundy of Princeton NJ; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren; and special friend, Ruth Wedelich, and a special friend whom she thought of as a daughter, Violet Thompson.  Services were Wednesday, November 23, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans.  Pastor Heath Jenkins officiated.  Burial followed in Creston Cemetery, Evans.  Online condolences may be sent to castofh@gmail.com.</p>
