  <p>Information: Clarence Edgar Christian, 60, of Cottageville, died Dec. 24, 1990, in Jackson General Hospital after a short illness.  He was a painter and carpenter for Ravenswood Aluminum Corp. with 31 years&#39; service.  He was a member of United Steelworkers Union and a Baptist.  Surviving:  wife, Betty Jean Spangler Christian; son, James Clarence ""Butch"" of Cottageville; daughter, Jennifer Ellen Cale of Ripley; mother, Bertie Christian of Beckley; four grandchildren.  Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, with the Rev. Michael Norris officiating.  Burial will be in Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville.  Friends may call after 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the funeral home.</p>
