  <p>Information: Betty Jean Christian, 83, of Cottageville WV, passed away November 30, 2014 in Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg.  She was born October 15, 1931 in Pocahontas VA, the daughter of the late Harold and Pauline (Simmons) Spangler.  Her husband, Clarence E. Christian; daughter, Delores Louise Christian; a brother, James Spangler; and her daughter-in-law, Louise Christian, also preceded her in death.  Betty was a homemaker, a former volunteer at Eldercare of Ripley, and a member of the Ripley Baptist Temple, where she served as Sunday school secretary for many years.  She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and spending time with her great grandchildren..        Survivors include her son, James C. ""Butch"" Christian, of Cottageville; daughter, Jennifer Christian of Evans; grandchildren, Amy Anderson, Tina Jones, Scott Cale and Chris Cale; and great grandchildren, Bradley Anderson, Grace Jones, Nevan Cale, Berklee Cale, and Gwendolyn Cale.  Service will be 11 am Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Evans WV, with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating.  Burial will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville.  Visitation will be from 5 pm until 8 pm (today) Tuesday, at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the Ripley Baptist Temple Building Fund, 320 Charleston Drive, Ripley WV 25271.  Email condolences may be sent to castofh@gmail.com.</p>
