Information: Paul R. (Cheney) Chaney, 70, of Parkersburg, died at the St. Joseph's Hospital early Thursday morning after a long illness. He was born in Jackson County, June 25, 1902, son of the late Frank and Bessie Proudfoot Chaney. He was a member of the St. Andrew's U.M. Church, the Mt. Olivet Lodge No. 3, A.F. And A.M., and was retired from the American Viscose. He is survived by his widow, Elizabeth Chaney; one son, Ronald Paul Chaney of Vienna; two sisters, Mrs. Lulie Turnball of Wilmington, Del., and Mrs. Leona Harkins of New Castle, Del.; one niece and three nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Evans. Funeral services were held Monday at the Ogdin Funeral Home, the Rev. Charles W. Scragg, Jr. officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, with Masonic rites by Mt. Olivet No. 3.
