  <p>Information:       Wilbert Charles Chancey, 66, of Ripley, died Wednesday in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, after a long illness.   He was born July 28, 1912, a son of the late William and Mary Tibble Chancey.  He was a former Jackson County Sheriff (1957-1961.)  Mr. Chancey was a retired dairy farmer and a retired employee of Kaiser Aluminum Chemical Corp.  He was a member of Salt Hill Church.  Surviving:  wife, Nancy Fisher Chancey; son, Charles of Syracuse, Ohio; brothers, Elliot and Howard, both of Ripley, and W.T. Chancey of Wilmington, Ohio; sister, Mrs. Gertrude Monk of Charleston; two grandchildren.  Service was held Friday in Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. Orland Reynolds and the Rev. Don Hinzman officiating.  Burial was in Fairplain Cemetery. </p>
