Information: Richard Elden Chancey II, 43, of Ravenswood, passed away at his home Friday morning following a sudden illness.  He was born July 29, 1968 in Charleston, son of Richard E. Chancey and the late Barbara Smith Chancey.  He served six years in the United States Air Force where he attained the rank of E-4 and was a veteran of the Gulf War.  He was a self employed contractor and a graduate of Ripley High School.      Survivors, in addition to his father, include:  his wife and partner for 17 years, Rita Miller Chancey; son, Tommy Daugherty (Angela) of Ravenswood; daughters, Stacy Rhodes (Dennis) of Ravenswood, Tina Murray (Jeff) of Millwood, and Lori Briggs of Parkersburg; sister, Michelle Cox (Larry) of Myrtle Beach SC; grandchildren, Ryan Murray, Brittney and Doug Williams, Minor Tanner, Brandy Murray, Colton and Cory Daugherty, Gunner Daugherty, Brice and Justice Denzler, Ashley Gump, Daniel Starcher, Mickey Gump, Allie Peery, Rachaell Briggs, Jadyn and Hannah Rhodes; great-granddaughter, Alexia Williams; great-grandson, Wyatt Starcher and one great-granddaughter, Aria, who is on the way; mother-in-law, Ardell Miller; brother-in-law, Steve Miller; and son-in-law, Mike Briggs.      Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 10, at 1 pm at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley.  Interment will follow at the Boswell Cemetery, Rockcastle, with military graveside rites by American Legion Post #107, Ripley.  Friends called at the funeral home Monday evening from 6-8 pm.
