Information: Funeral services were held Monday at the Fairplain United Methodist Church for Moody Monroe Chancey, 64, of Fairplain who died Saturday in Jackson General Hospital,following a long illness. Burial was in Casto Cemetery, Fairplain. He was a retired gas field worker and is survived by his widow, Mrs. Urada Staats Chancey; one son, Roger Lee Chancey, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Floria Casto of Marietta, and Mrs. Polly Anderson of Fairplain; two brothers, C.V. Chancey of Dunbar and Odell Chancey of Ripley. Parsons Funeral Home, Ripley, was in charge of arrangements.
