Information: Barbara Ann Ankrum, daughter of George and Christina Click, was born June 26, 1871, and departed this life November 1, 1939, aged 68 years, 4 months and 6 days.  She was united in marriage to Richard Clark Ankrum, December 5, 1889, and to this union were born five children, all of whom still survive.  The husband preceded her in death 37 years ago.  She is survived by the following children:  L. O. Ankrum, Lydia Ankrum. Mrs. P. K. Sayre, and Hattie Ankrum of Cottageville and John F. Ankrum of Marmet; a foster daughter, Mrs. Mildred Schoonover of Charleston, whom she reared from infancy; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Gerlach and Mrs. Susie Parsons of Cottageville, and a host of relatives and friends.  She was converted at an early age and became a member of the United Brethren church at Mt. Hebron. She was a modest, unassuming woman, faithful to all her duties of life, a loving and tender wife and mother, devoted to her family and to the welfare of the community.  Through all her affliction she was patient and uncomplaining to the end.  All was done that kind hands could do, but God doeth all things well.  She was a true Christian, a woman of few words but many kind deeds.  We will ever remember this kind, patient mother and friend to all, and hope to emulate her many virtues.  ""To live in hearts left behind, Is not to die""  Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon at Hebron Chapel by the Rev. W. I. Fiber of Cottageville and intrement was made in Hebron cemetery by Undertaker, J. B. Vail.
