Information: John M. Champe 83, of Ansted, Fayette County, formerly of Charleston, died Tuesday at home after a short illness.  He was a Methodist and a member of Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Bodies and Beni Kedem Shrine.  He was a retired employee of Kanawha Valley Bank with 42 years of service. Surviving:  sisters, Celeste Champe of Ansted, Mary Beaver of Victor, Fonetia Painter of Sissonville; brother, Woodrow of Charleston.  Service was held Friday in Wallace-Wallace Funeral Home, Ansted, with the Rev. George Pauley officiating.  Burial was in Deitz Cemetery, Saturday Road, Ansted.
