Information: FINAL RITES HELD FOR WRECK VICTIMS - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Virginia Cecil and 3-year-old son, James Eugene Pease, who with her husband, Encil Cecil met their death Saturday evening when the car in which they were riding plunged into Calf creek near St. Marys, Pleasants county, were held Tuesday, April 9 at 2:30 p.m. in the Palmer funeral home at Ravenswood in charge of Rev. C. E. Ruble. Burial was made in the North Ravenswood cemetery. Mrs. Cecil is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Pease, of Ravenswood; three brothers, Gordon, Pearl, Emmit Warren and George, Jr. Pease, all of Ravenswood. Also a half-brother; a brother, Clarence Albert, preceded her in death; she also leaves a sister, Myrtle Pease, of Ravenswood; and four half-sisters. Mrs. Cecil was born February 2, 1920 and departed this life April 6, 1940, at the age of 20 years, one month and 11 days. She was converted and united with the Methodist Episcopal church of Ravenswood some two years ago. She was united in marriage to Encil Cecil of Moundsville January 13, 1940. James Eugene Pease, son of Mary Virginia Pease, was born July 26, 1937 and departed this life April 6, 1940, age two years, eight months and 11 days. Funeral services for Mr. Cecil were held at Moundsville Tuesday and burial was at that place.
