Information: CAVENDER RITES HELD ON TUESDAY - Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Cavender, formerly of Jackson county, who died Sunday in a Charleston hospital after a short illness, were held Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock at Thompson Chapel on the Sissonville road. Mrs. Cavender who had resided at 920 Gardner street in Charleston and who for the last twelve years had been employed as a saleswoman at Coyle and Richardson department store at that place, had many relatives and friends in Jackson county, several of whom attended the funeral services which were conducted by Rev. J. Freemont Whitman. Burial was at the Thaxton cemetery with the Casto-Wilson mortuary in charge. Besides her husband, Adam B. Cavender, the deceased is survived by two brothers, Clyde and Shirley Bailey of Poca; and four sisters, Mrs. H. P. Faber of Kenna, Mrs. J. L. Cottrill of Bee, Putnam county, and Mrs. S. D. Cleek and Mrs. Robert Cavender of Charleston.
