Information: CASTO RITES HELD SUNDAY - William Monroe Casto, 87, one of the well known citizens of Jackson county, died at his home near Staats Mills, Washington district, last Friday and with his passing one of the oldest residents of that section was no more.  He had lived in the community since his birth on February 7, 1863, had been a highly respected farmer, a member of the Methodist church for more than sixty years and was an honorary member of the Gay Lodge of Odd Fellows.  The funeral service was held at the Siniaville church on Sunday afternoon, in the same church where he had been a communicant for more than half a century, and a large crowd of people came to pay their last tribute of respect to ""Uncle Roe"", as he was familiarly known in that community and throughout a greater portion of Jackson county.  The Vail undertakers were in charge of the arrangements for the funeral, and also the burial which was in the church cemetery.  Survivors include a son, Marshall Casto of Charleston; three daughters, Mrs. Audra Winter of Belpre, Ohio, Mrs. Mamie Southall of Fairplain, and Miss Wilda Casto of Charleston; three brothers, M. L. Casto of Ripley, O. J. Casto of Staats Mills, and F. M. Casto of Gay; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
