Information: Willard Kessel Casto, 84, of Charleston, died Friday, July 20, after an extended illness.  He was born in Jackson county and was a son of the late George Wallace and Myrtle Kessel Casto.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree at West Virginia University.  He was a retired school teacher having served 34 years in Kanawha county.  During WWII he was founder and flight instructor for Winfield Flying School giving flight instructions to college students for the Army Air Force.  He was also Captain of the Civil Air Patrol.  He was a real estate broker for 20 years serving the Charleston area.  He was a member of the Otterbein Methodist Church.  Survivors: wife, Virginia; one son, Lowell of Newark DE; one sister, Hazel Hughes of Ravenswood; one brother, Raymond of Ravenswood; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services will be Monday 11 a.m. at Vail Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles I. Jones officiating.  Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley.  Friends may call from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday.
