Information: Oma Myrtle Casto, 80, of Given, died Friday in St. Joseph' Hospital, Parkersburg after a long illness. She was a member of Parchment Valley Homemakers Club. She was Jackson County Belle at the Glenville Folk Festival in 1984. She was a Protestant. Surviving: sons, Alfred Lee of Charleston, Everette Floyd and Paul E., both of Given; daughter, Rosalee French of Ripley; brother, Marion Bowles of Cahokia, Ill.; sisters, Retha Turley of St. Albans, Erma Hayes of Dunbar, Hattie Patton of Scott Depot, Velma Hoffman of South Charleston, Belle Beloit of Silver Springs, Md., and Mae Blankenship of Mansfield, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren. Service was held Monday at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, with Don Barker and Luther Raines officiating. Burial was in Given Cemetery. Given.
