Information: EVANS RESIDENT SUICIDE VICTIM - Melvin Roscoe Casto, 72, of Evans, died last Wednesday morning at his home of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  Deputy Sheriff Henry Wilson said that the fatal head wound was inflicted by a .20 gauge shotgun.  The shooting occurred shortly before 5:20 a. m.   He was born at Evans, son of the late Early Douglas and Dora Flowers Casto.  He was a farmer and a construction worker.  Survivors include his wife, Georgia Long Casto; one son, Grover William Casto of Stowe, Ohio; six daughters,  Mrs. Patsy Robinson of Wake Forest, N.C., Mrs. Ruby Friendly of Point Pleasant, Mrs. Betty Lou Harmon of Pascagoula, Miss., Mrs. Vivian Aitkins of Katy, Texas, Mrs. Alma Williams of Addix, Texas, and Mrs. Pearl Jean Francis of Anna, Ohio; one brother, Clyde Casto of Evans; two sisters, Mrs. Vivian Sayre of Kent, Ohio and Mrs. Alma Sayre of Grundy, Va.; 21 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  Services were Friday at the Casto Funeral Home Chapel with Ann Skeen officiating.  Burial was in Otterbein Cemetery.
