Information: Mrs. Mary Mae Smith Casto, 83, died May 29 at Mankato, Minn.  She lived in Roane and Jackson Counties for many years before moving to Minnesota.  Mrs. Casto and her husband, the late Oley E. Casto lived in Ravenswood on Gallatin Street for a number of years.  Casto was employed at the post office.  A daughter of the late Rev. Isaac W. and Martha Jane (Mitchell) Smith, she was born near Spencer on Spring Creek.  Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; two sons; and several brothers and sisters which included the Rev. Isaac Newton, Sherman and Mrs. Emma Stanley, Silverton.  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Tackle of Montevideo, Minn; a son, George, St. Paul, Minn.; two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren in Minnesota; a brother, Francis Marion of Akron, Ohio and several nieces and nephews in West Virginia.
