Information: The Rev. J. Ronald Casto, 50, of North Main St., New Martinsville, died Tuesday at the Wetzel County Hospital. He was born in Glenwood, son of the late Rev. Opha R. and Ora E. Pfost Casto. He was graduated from Elkins High School, Morris-Harvey College, and had done graduate work at Vanderbilt and Princeton. He was the president of the West Virginia Board of Pensions for the West Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Rotary Club and had held charges in East Bank, Lost Creek, Ellengrove, Ronceverte, Fairmont, Man, Nitro, Ravenswood and New Martinsville. He had been a past conference director of the United Methodist Youth Work. He is survived by his widow, Ida Stewart Casto; one son, J. Ronald Casto, II, and one daughter, Sandra Kay Casto both at home; one brother, Paul M. Casto of Charleston; and one sister, Mrs. Arthur Hadley of Berkley Springs. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church of New Martinsville, with Dr. Henry High, executive secretary of the West Virginia board of Pensions of the UM Church and Dr. Wendell Eskew, district superintendent of the Wheeling UM Church officiating. Burial will be in the Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville. Friends may call at the Iams Funeral Home in New Martinsville after 7 p.m. today.
