Information: ERNEST CASTO, HIT BY TRUCK, IS DEAD- Ernest D. Casto, 72 years old, and a former resident of Given, died in a Charleston hospital Sunday evening of a skull fracture suffered when he was struck by a truck at a street crossing in Charleston Saturday afternoon.  A manslaughter charge was placed against David Fowler, of that city,who was the driver of the truck which struck the aged man. Funeral services were held at Dunbar Tuesday afternoon with Dr. Ray N. Shaffer, assisted by Rev. K. J. Scott, officiating and burial was in a cemetery there.  The deceased man formerly lived at Given but a few years ago moved to Ohio and later came back to Charleston where he has since made his home.  Surviving are five sons, Howard of Dunbar, E. G. of Pittsburgh, Pa., C. Everett of Canton, O., C. Lowhan of Massillon, O., and W. Luther of South Charleston; seven daughters, Mrs. E. O. Sigmon of Akron, O., Mrs. Dale Norris of Massillon, Mrs. J. A. Ferrell and Mrs. Manona Bowles of Charleston, Mrs. Forrest Given and Mrs. Donald Williamson of Dunbar and Mrs. W. O. Raines of Canton; his father, G. Riley Casto of Parkersburg; five sisters, Mrs. Docia Scott, Mrs. Mae Parsons and Miss Blanche Casto all of Parkersburg, and Mrs. Allena Staats of East Liverpool, O., and Mrs. Tennie Starcher of Ripley; two brothers, Edward A. Casto of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Harry Casto of Washington, Pa.; 28 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
